Thank you so much! I write when I feel well and take a break when I am tired. One of the keys to functioning with chronic illness is to recognize that there are periods in which we have to take a break. They do not last forever, so I make the best use of my "good times" to write. My biggest challenge is finding time between appointments with so many medical specialists! This makes my posts a bit irregular, but I would rather share my best than present something written in a hurry. Bear with my irregularity and you may find a treasure or two that adds to your day!
Hugs,
Susan

Thanks so much! If you look at the very top of the page, you will see a line that includes info about the author and also one that is about my books. If you click on the part that refers to my books, it will not only list what I have written, but it also includes a variety of links to buying a copy.

A punching bag is a great idea! It lets out anger and frustration while building strength. Swimming is an excellent next step, building up strength in a way that's enjoyable. It's common to isolate ourselves while we are dealing with chronic illness, even though we need the support of others. I have done that myself at times. For me, I have used an exercise bicycle to do the same. Now I am surrounded by friends who are supportive and understanding. It took a lot of courage to write "Living in the Theater of the Absurd" because I was laying out many of my challenges for all to see. I wrote this book in the hopes that it would encourage others who are dealing with chronic conditions. I admire that you have found a way that deals with the emotions of chronic conditions, come out of isolation, and done positive things that rebuild health. Kudos!

I had been afraid to move outside, didn't spend time with friends - and usually passed every Facebook occasion invite by. But those times are over ever since I got a punching bag stand! It's very easy and fun to work out today. It also motivated me to swim and to use the gymnasium.

Because it allows me to acquire all my emotions out and get a great workout at once I really like my punching bag stand and would not trade it for anything.

Thanks! It's similar to Orphan Dreams poetry, but it covers different topics. Another difference is that I looked at the world around me as if I were a cultural anthropologist, then wrote each poem based on a specific interaction or observation. It was fun to write!
